Proactive monitoring

A full disk, an expired certificate or a failing backup do not warn anyone. We do: we watch your infrastructure and act before the user notices.

What we monitor

What fails without warning

We monitor the whole infrastructure, not just the server facing the user.

Servers

Physical and virtual: load, memory, disks, services and system events.

Network

Links, switches, firewalls and connectivity between sites.

Storage

Capacity, performance and health of the volumes where data lives.

Backups

That they run, that they finish and that they can be restored.

Certificates

Certificate and domain expiry, before access breaks.

Cloud services

Machines, databases and managed services, with the same thresholds.

Critical applications

The ones that keep the business running, with checks that catch a real outage.

What it includes

Monitoring with action, not just a dashboard

Alerts with trend

Capacity, performance and availability, with the trend so you decide before it fills up.

Preventive action

We follow the agreed procedure: clean, expand, restart or replace before it fails.

Patching and maintenance

Updates and planned work in windows agreed with you.

Regular report

Availability, incidents and capacity, with what is worth changing.

Tools

With what you already have, or what it takes

We work with the monitoring tools you already use and, if there are none, we propose the one that fits.

Nexthink

User experience and the health of workplace devices.

PRTG Network Monitor

Sensors for network, servers and services, with thresholds per device.

UptimeRobot

Website and service availability from outside your network.

NinjaOne

Endpoint and server management and monitoring from one place.

And the SOC?

Two views that work together

Monitoring and managed SOC

Monitoring watches that everything works; the managed SOC watches that nobody attacks it. Both coordinate when an incident affects them both.

Common questions

Questions about Proactive monitoring

How is it different from the managed SOC?
Monitoring watches availability and capacity: that everything works. The managed SOC watches threats: that nobody attacks it. They coordinate when an incident affects both.
Do you monitor cloud services too?
Yes. Cloud services, virtual machines, managed databases and critical applications are covered, with the same agreed thresholds.
What happens overnight?
Monitoring does not sleep: alerts are handled around the clock and, if action is needed, we follow the procedure we agreed.
Do devices need agents?
It depends on the tool and the device. Servers usually take an agent; networks and services are monitored through standard protocols. We agree this before we start.
